What do I need to know and do
In order to be able to play Water Polo or Swim this year?
1) All students must have current physicals and athletic paperwork on file with the school office. You can download these forms electronically from our school website www.goburroughs.com the forms are available on the files and links tab, or pick them up from Debbie Stevens in the main office. The sports packet and physical form must be returned to the coaches on the first day of summer practice for you to be eligible to practice. If you are not participating in the summer program then your paperwork will be due on the first day of tryouts. If you already have a current physical on file you do not need to get another one, but be aware that physicals must be updated each calendar year.
2) Summer Water Polo and Swimming. We offer a summer camp for all athletes and all levels of ability. The information is on the Summer Camp Section of the website
3) The regular season schedules will be made available once the season starts for your particular team. This will help you plan vacations, appointments, and other conflicts ahead of time so that they can be avoided during the season. If your child is NOT participating in the summer program, it is essential that you stay in touch with the coaches so that you can be notified of the dates and times that you need for tryouts and paperwork to be turned in.
4) There is an expense associated with any type of high school sports program. We do extensive fundraising during the school year to provide for our needs as a program, but we never want finances to be the determining factor in a child’s participation. Please speak with the Booster Club representatives if you would like information or assistance with helping to pay for your child’s team expenses. |
